DANG i missed it VOD TIME
The plan was to have a summoning happen and use that to rile up Garlemald proper against elements who were lobbying for the war to end. Since they control the media in country, they could silence the dissidents. Maxima(Asahi's lieutenant) and company wouldn't have survived back to Garlemald to say differently. Unfortunately, Asahi let his dislike of his sister and the WoL prompt him to go back and kill her/taunt you, and man, does he show no awareness of how close he was to the WOL smashing his face in. Cackling like a loon while you do the slow walk forward.
