  1. Eyyyy! Love new monk. Just wish we kept up to 4 positional. Either way. I'm happy to know my own made up opener is roughly the same as what's considered optimal use. Still trying to figure out the best way for phantom rush

  2. While I appreciate this guide! It was very insightful, I think it would've been nice to keep any major areas out of the mix, perhaps either using a fc dummy or be in an area that most are familiar with (i.e. Thavnair) but aside from that small gripe I appreciate the video no less

  3. So, I heard about this double Solar opener in a stream and looking at it, I very much disagree with whoever came up with it. I've learned from past experience that being too caught up in getting your biggest move within the most buff windows can have the opposite effect. With the Double Solar, it will always put you behind a Phantom Rush compared to the Lunar-Solar opener. It'll also be behind about 100 potency, give or take, given that the Boot and DK in the LS opener covers the potency difference of EF and RP with extra potency to spare.

I get ppl's annoyance that PR isn't in the biggest buff window, but trying to delay it to do so will do more harm than good. Thankfully, you included the Lunar-Solar opener in this vid, so that's good. I'm a little unsure about the RoW placement, but don't have a solid enough argument to say otherwise.

  4. It is a nice opener, that Double Solar thing. When you compare just openers (and only 20 seconds of those, as Lunar+Solar one is two GCD longer, then Double Solar pulls ahead Lunar+Solar with 1330 Potency advantage. On top of that, you will get better alignment of your skills with your group buffs. Good job making this vid! Appreciate.

  5. wow the double solar opener is actually pretty good! I'm enjoying the monk changes but was having a lot of trouble coming to terms with what I should be doing when it came to aligning buff windows, this makes a lot of sense.

  6. I don’t know if I’m missing something, but I can’t see how the double solar works that way.
From the video I see only using 1PB at the 1 minute mark, and then getting both Nadi again at the 2 minute mark. But since you get PB on 30 seconds, if you work it practically my experience goes:
0 minutes: brotherhood, lunar + Solar
1 minute: phantom rush, lunar nadi
2 minutes: Brotherhood: Solar Nadi + phantom rush

  7. I like there's at least two capable ways to go into a fight. I been doing lunar solar for the longest bc i wasnt 86 but that's really non trial stuff, but I see it is better to hold that other nadi for the boss. I was lost at first on the reason for solar solar then forgot Phenix is much stronger than elixir and also does help with that 2nd big window when buffs are out to really get that damage out. Nice video man.

  8. I know this is probably not too relevant but by employing the double solar opener we benefit a from scholar and Dragoon buffs now since we aren't getting as many of those bootshine crits like in the shb rotation right?

  9. If you generate 5 chakras during the course of your opener or anywhere else and it overlaps with another oGCD, is it always worth it to just spend the chakras before doing anything else? As an example I'm already seeing there are instances where in the opener I generate another set of chakras before the point where you'd pop Riddle of Wind
