  1. Raiding is super fun, you'll def get better as you go. As someone who also came from a moba/fighting game backround I went from a low purple average to breaking top 100 on my job over the course of a tier, just gotta keep at it and pray rng is on your side. My current goal is ultimates 2/5 so far! Definitely give them a try once you finish this tier, its doable for anyone!!

  2. As someone whom knows that extremes and savage content is not for me, I'm happy you persevered and managed to accomplished your goal. I should also warn you however, that parsers and other addons are against ToS is FF14, and this video is literally you admitting to using them. No judgement here, hope you continue to enjoy the game in the future.

  3. Raiding is a good time and experience is additive, so don't feel down. Next tier it'll be easier to pick up concepts, you'll be more comfortable in your rotation, and you'll have a better time. Everyone starts out gray, it's not your fault for being new. It IS your fault if you decide to stay gray.

  4. As someone who does week 1 savage clears and has cleared every ultimate (except UCOB fuck UCOB), the part early on about raiders being full of themselves and that anyone can raid by following a guide is exactly how I feel LMAO, it's the bell curve meme and I'm all here for it!

Good luck on finishing up M4S! Party finder can be a bit of a nightmare for that fight specifically but it's very doable!

  5. Love to see new raiders actively improving! I think having so much self awareness and drive to improve is going to help you so much as you continue to tackle m4s, Stay hungry and get the clear. We've all been there at one point 🥳

  6. A grey Parse for a clear is still, a clear. Doing mechanics right is way more important. A lot of people actively hurt prog by going for high parses. Also consider that the Tier has been out for a while now, so you are being measured against way higher Itemlvls.

  7. A clear is indeed a clear at the end of the day, my ass was in whatever gear I had on hand for my first EXs and Savage in EW since I was a patch ahead of the given EX/Savage patch and I was getting hard greys with the worst Summoner rotation imaginable. It still laid the foundation for my later personal goals of blue minimum on every Savage going forward. You also get more of a pass on the greys as the tier goes on if you don't have gear since even my week 1 58 blue this tier would be a 24 right now if I did the exact same today with only the gear being factored. My first ever clear was also a 3 back in Asphodelos and I got hard carried with a pre-made giving me tailored callouts to try to hook me on raiding. I will always take a grey one-pull over an orange that took 10 pulls.

  8. i always say the people who want to get better and are willing to look up rotations and ways on how to optimize and improve their damage output will eventually get better and are way ahead of people that dont care as much

  9. Doing extremes, savage, ultimate raids means more content to enjoy.

At first I though I'll never do high end content like savages and ultimates. Did extremes, then tried savages. and the past 6 months cleared uwu, tea, ucob.

cleared uwu 20x that I can just enter it casually. so yeah just get used to it. quite fun.

I didn't line up my 2 mins buff until my 2nd tier. oh well. nowadays I can do quite fine. Only with 1 job. and just cleared m4s with my alt job.

even then I still die in some random normal contents when I don't pay attention.

  10. High-end content is a gateway to better fashion.
The main reason why I'm doing ultimates is because I NEED THAT FRAMER KIT.

Anyways, most people don't care about your parse, most care about making the reclears and painless as possible.

Love a person who also loves big number.

  11. As a new raider Ive been progging this tier with pf mostly. And yeah my logs arent good, but im getting better. And frankly doing mechs and being a team player is more important than a big number. And beating bee in pf when my static threw in the towel and gave up at bee, felt really good. I kept trying and practicing and I was able to beat bee.
