  1. Meanwhile, I'm watching this from the hospital almost literally dying to get back to FFXIV.😅

I miss Hunt Trains. I miss Bard concerts. Goddamnit, I miss hanging out with the crazy people at Gold Saucer.😅

  2. 0:07 — Nah, you're fine, you're just hopping on the current sentiment-train. Feels like we get those every day now…

3:15 — That would actually be fun… buuut rewards for Criterion are still lacking so… even if finding groups would be easier, lack of rewards wouldnt really make them queue anyway 🙁

As with all of these videos, there is some truth to it. However, FF14 has loads of content. Every player will find something they like – and I mean every player. Its just that the game was also designed to allow players to step away for a time. If this design is good or bad, I cant say. Many players believe it is. And to them all I can say is, create your own content. The game is your playground, do with it what you will, as long as you dont harrass other players (and keep the "dont show, dont tell"-rule in mind when certain… you know which, programms are concerned 😉 ).

Critisism is valid and I think, many points here have merit, but I also believe we can agree, that the devs at least try to shake things up. Sure, we didnt anything like Bozja but we got something(s) else. That these new things couldnt replace the old, I think we can also agree on. But its new, and we can never say what kind of impact something new has before its being tried, right?

Like pretty much everyone, I worry about the long drought until DT drops. We will get some new stuff starting next year with the last (larger) patch and we can also look foreward to Tokio Fanfest. But yeah… there wont be anything really new to excite us und keep us busy – even the relic weapon will be done in a jiffy. On the other hand, there are many things to do… Blue Mage and Deep Dungeon, to name but two that havent been listed in this video, and I stand by what I wrote earlier: create your own content. I'm an introvert myself and interactions with other players are stressful. On the other hand, that too can be something you can train and foster for yourself.

In the end, this is a game, and a game should be fun.

  3. Love the hair! ❤and congratulations on the upcoming 3 years in XIV!

It's a bummer to feel bored with XIV. I've been feeling the same way–only logging in to do the bare minimum of "dailies", which for me means mini-cactpot, frontlines, and perhaps doing some Grand Company turn-ins to level crafter/gatherer. However, I'm thankful XIV doesn't require us to maintain the daily grind to be prepared for the next MSQ. It's nice to have the freedom to pause our XIV subscription (if you don't have a house) and explore other games or even other hobbies.

However, if you still want to spend time in XIV… I don't recall you mentioning being for or against collecting. How do you feel about collecting mounts, minions, achievements, triple triad cards, blue mage spells? Maybe getting into Mahjong? Or, rather than doing daily roulettes, how about (spawning hunt targets and) doing hunts/hunt trains? Hunts give the same tomestone rewards as roulettes, and you could even get to your weekly cap faster than doing roulettes.

  4. For me its just the main story, once thats done i look towards leveling classes but i already have everything i want to play at level 90, so it just felt like i was forcing myself to play a class i don't enjoy just for the sake of leveling it, so i quickly stopped that. Most of the time i just bard and hang around but it gets quite dull afterwhile, especially when youre as socially awkward as me and never talk to anyone, so i decided to take a break, coming back in dawntrail.

  5. I think Yoshi P summed up your problem the best: "It's OK to take a break and it's OK to play other games."

That being said though, I understand your sentiment. FFXIV caters to the super casual gamer as well as the social butterflies (I mean, it is an MMO).

FFXIV is the amusement park of MMORPGs and there definitely is a plethora of content to tackle if you want. But what if you've done what you wanted? The park just comes off as boring and you find yourself in the loop of doing your daily/weeklies before logging out. An idea is maybe seeing someone else's glam stick out, or their adventurer card, or maybe they have a cool minion or title. Ask them or dig around and maybe see what it takes to obtain it.

But at the end of the day the biggest piece of advice I can give you as someone who has been playing since 2.0 is to take a break. Don't force yourself to play it. FFXIV will always have big gaps of downtime between expansions and it's patches (both big and small) so don't feel bad if you don't have that drive to play it.

  6. As someone who's spend a lot of time in Bozja/Zandor lvling jobs to 90 all i can say is 99% of those fates and CEs only require between 1-3 people to complete however this is assuming that those people actually use bozja actions, potions and buffs. For me personally when lvling reaper was able to solo most fates by just using 1 essence and a couple of buffs. If you want an even easier time Healers/Warrior is just ez 😀

  7. I haven't played for months because i felt bored. Most people would be like, did you grind every single relic, crafter relic, did you get 100 totems on all of the extremes, make your own content, etc. I think those kind of statements are kinda bs, since not every player is a completionist/collector, to me the side/horizontal content that i don't find interesting does not exist, because I won't do it, unless forced to in a relic quest >:C I did grind the relics i thought looked cool, and the ones that are old ultimates bis.

I also think most people forget sometimes, that it literally took thousands of hours of gameplay to get to the point where you are bored, there is no such a game where I got so many hours of entertainment, so i think it's perfectly ok to find nothing to do in game, because you already did what you found interesting in the game, you shouldn't force yourself to do content you find boring, I wish i could still log in everyday and be excited, I do think the game lacks incentives to log in, but i don't see it changing its formula, so i'll just wait for exciting content in xiv while playing other games and watching your vids owo.

  8. different strokes for differnet folks, the thing with xiv is it has an extreme amount of content, but with limited replay value, unlike most MMOs there basically just will be a point where you've caught up on everything you want to do, and a new patch every 4 months will only provide you with 2-100 hours worth of content, and then you're actually just kinda done.
I managed to get 8000 hours in as a fairly standard completionist (like not going for EVERY SINGLE relic but getting a couple of each expansion) so it does baffle me a little when i see people say they only play the msq, (like theres a lot of content out there are you really sure you've tried?) but then i remember once again, differnet strokes for different folks.
but here i am, i reached the point myself, and so i play gw2 on the side now between patches, and im having a blast honestly, xiv and gw2 seem to scratch the itches that the other doesnt pretty prefectly.

  9. I've only ever liked the Story and the small details like weather patterns and day and night cycle. I've never liked standard tab targeting MMO combat. It's always been boring. Other than different graphics used. All bosses feel the same for the most part. Each one has their own dance at some point. But it's still the same actions.

  10. FF14 for me is boring.
because Once i finished raiding/MSQ, I went to balmung to see F+ ppl who would ERP would me.
    but sadly.
they all require mods to see the pp.
Unfortunetly, Square enix doesn't allow us to use mods.
So I can't see the PP.
All I want , is to see the PP.
why square enix wont allow me to see PP.
    Mad.

  11. ok so lets see, most of the problems seems to be like a you problem.
-you dont want to level all the jobs
-you dont want to level DoL and DoH
-the tribe quest are not long enough for you
    -pvp, didnt eve try
-variant dungeons not rewarding enough to you
-you dont want to do deep dungeons beacuse same reason above
-grind zones its too long and need people
-island sanctuary nothing to do for you
    -savage/extremes, too scary

as you can see most of the ur problems comes from a lack of willing to do content.
there is plenty to do in game its just not brand new out the oven, but like yoshi P said if you are not having fun stop playing and try something else.

if you want something that is grindy and it will require hours of mind numbing content i recommend Genshing Impact. i personally wouldn't touch it that thing with 6ft ling pole but people seem to like it(somehow)
i would recommend wow but it might be very toxic depending on the players.
but i will admit that the game is in the fresh content drought part of the expansion cycle which is the same every expansion. but for some reason the doomers are at full force.
