I have the opposite mindset of liking to help people because it means I'm not the least competent. 🫠
I've had better experiences in PF than in statics, was able to clear the first 3 fights of abyssos within the first week in PF, felt great!
Being both a PF and blind content enjoyer I'm basically forced to push as hard as possible in the first few weeks, as even though blind PF parties exist they quickly die out as everyone starts pumping out guides 😅
the amount of body checks in savage is a downer for me, i've quit.
i'm looking forward to do them unsync.
p4s at current unsync gear should be good.
I'm 100% a blind prog enjoyer. But I also don't like feeling like I have to rush to clear week 1 or w/e, so a static with the same goal is the only option for me. I also tend to find I'm way more patient with people making lots of mistakes and such when in a blind prog group, whereas with groups that are (or at least are supposed to be) following a guide, my patience wears thin really quick if there are a bunch of mistakes. Seeing new mechanics and trying to figure them out, or pull off different strategies is like crack to me. Otherwise clearing usually just feels like busywork, going through the motions and trying to stay consistent without getting bored or fatigued.
I had intended to play in a static for DT. That was until I realized that they were the worst type of narcissistic bigots ever.
So, PF it is, and i'll make sure to beat their sorry ass,
I’ve been helping people through everkeep normal for fun. Got a bunch of commendations but I like how people thanked me at the end. Felt like a hero.
More like I don't have friends playing the game so I had to play on PF. Had to adapt….
PF'd E11S in shadowbringers. Took like multiple weeks (4 i think) to find a good clear party. I was playing on Crystal so that could be it (before DC travel). I have some advice for ppl looking to clear. If you wait till server reset and do a book run, you are more likely to clear. The good players re-clear the very next day after reset and right before for books if they don't get a chance that week.
this will be my first time proging savage EVER in the 4 years i have played FFXIV. I will be looking at party finder first week trying to get a group as i don't have a static. but i think it will be fun. i also enjoy the prog. like each time we are closer and closer to the clear is way more rewarding i think… even watching strat videos. gotta get in there!!!! also what else are we doing lolol i wanna see the savage fights!!!!
Day 1/2 is completely different than week 1/2. Day 1 you get people who actually know what they're doing and have that drive to blast through and complete it and usually you can find groups that will stay together for hours on end trying to blast through. Week 1/2 is when you get those bad situations where there aren't solid strats and you're playing with mixed bags of people.
"One person keeps messing" is honestly more of an issue in statics because in PF you just kick them.
Before guides is less anxiety inducing because no one will be upset at you for messing up. After guides people start getting snotty attitudes because you aren't able to "just do it." And also a lot of elitism about conflicting strats etc. If you have anxiety but skill and drive, honestly day 1 is the best. No one cares as long as you can learn, adapt, and do your job.
When I've done pf, it's usually not so bad the first two weeks and then it falls off hard, do a static now though. I would probably prefer to do a lot of time for a week straight but I only have so much PTO and don't really want to use it for that.
I mean most strats are settled on like a week after it drops.
