An interesting note. The spell Papalymo casts on Yda is "Enthunder", a spell that Thaumaturges had back in 1.0, it increases the DPS of attacks and adds lightning damage as well. And then Yda used Limit Break.
And as a side note, in one of the 1.0 trailers, a Thaumaturge is also seen casting Enfire on an Archer.
Congrats on finishing ARR, this is where the fun begins! Wish I could have watched it live (but you usually stop streaming minutes before i wake up in the morning lol).
I mentioned on your last Dragoon video that there was another job change I wanted to talk about in my WoL's story after i went Paladin>Dragoon>Paladin during base ARR, and it was right here! 🙂
Like with the massacre on the Waking Sands, she again felt herself unworthy of her title as Paladin. This time though she felt even more hopeless since, like Alphinaud, she blamed herself for what happened. She stuck with Alphinaud and Tataru until she was sure they were safe in Ishgard, and then simply tried to walk away from it all. By pure chance, she stumbled on the arts of Dark Knights before leaving Ishgard and through it, let out all of her anger against anyone she faced.
Since Dark Knight starts at 30, I used the 30-50 questline and leveling as her essentially just wandering without a purpose. Only at 50 did she snap back to reality and remember just who needed her, and returned to Ishgard to protect those she truly cared about, now armed as a true Dark Knight.
(Leaving out a lot here cause job quest spoilers, I really recommend checking out Dark Knight 30-50 at some point. It fits in perfectly with the ending of ARR and characterizes the WoL a lot. There are also other times I changed jobs as a result of story later on, but not sure if I should keep posting them here. I think you enjoyed it last time, but just want to make sure first that you're fine with me popping in with some of my story every now and then.)
