Hey guys! Since this tier is over these days, so me and a lot of my friends recently decided to pick up FFXIV. We’re going in completely blind to these raids (not looking at guides), and we’re all pretty new at our characters so progress ends up taking a bit. Luckily we’ve got Sfia Pirion who is the World First raid leader in FFXIV to go through the vod of our kill of Titania.

Keep in mind you guys basically have a advantage in this due to being over geared. Just being 20 IL higher is a big take. So if you guys decide to do EW raids it’ll be much different. Current content at min IL to 10+ IL with current gear, food etc is different than going back to doing old content even a year old. Ppl where clearing byakko EX with 1 healer or Es1 with one healer after abit. IL power creep is crazy in ff14

I'm not sure if they'll see this, but there is an option to turn you character towards the boss every time you cast in character configuration.
Highly suggest looking over all of the options in character config and settings. There are a lot of preferences you can change to suit you.
Best Raid Leader in the World but it comes at the cost of always interupting people. very dominant person but it would be more enjoyable to watch when you would let people speak Max.

– Did SE allow it, all 3rd party(including gshade and other stuff and even something like Ghub for logitech device) is against the ToS of the game but they won't coming for you for using it. Unless you use it to harass other people.
– For wow player who need context about the fight, some 14 player will said oh they clearing it because their gear is better than people who clear it day one. That's true but also they didn't have 6 years of FFXIV experience. if you asking me they did super well. of course they won't challenge for xiv world first anytime soon but let's say if endwalker come out and this group going in day one as other people, they'll clear the content in the respectable timeframe.
They not only new to FFXIV they also new to each other in party.

I love this content! Watching you guys blind prog has been a blast! especially as someone who farms this boss for the mount drops. It was like learning the fight for the first time and it was awesome to see you all put things together and figure out the mechanics.

I love your stuff Max! However, am I the only one that just isn't interested in Final Fantasy stuff? Max def needs to continue doing it for sure but I just find these fights boring and slow in comparison to WoW. Could just be me idk.

This has to be a step down in difficulty for you. Cool to see you doing this stuff. I beleive Ultimate is the highest difficulty of a trial/ raid in the game. Maybe close to mythic first week release.

As someone who has never done this content before, I think it would be nice to either play the video of the full kill in the beginning or have time stamps for watching the full kill. It was very hard to follow when you guys paused every mechanic or two. Keep up the good work!

Interesting on how you guys learn these things. I am part of the veteran raid group who has been raiding since 2014 for FFXIV. The difference between you and ours is the conveyance of mechanics. Majority of these mechanics are already known to us so we have a greater awareness of how things works. For example the puddle mechanics. Several members in our raid team already had a good idea how it worked when it appeared. When we all seen it, we all agreed then that it's the Shinryu soak. This mean if there is a fire element incoming, we're suppose to soak it in the puddle and if there's a lightning, we will have to stay away. But there was a twist in that mechanic with double stack marker. That threw us off a little but managed to stack to our correctly because we have also seen that mechanics from Chaos Savage raid. We also have recurring mechanics such as protean. It means we move to our designated clock position to avoid each other. There's also protean dodge where after we avoid in clock, we dodge clockwise. So basically, we have a lot of established formation for ourselves in our raid group and that served us very well over the years.
