  1. Lynx had some valid criticisms but its the framing of how he presented them, which was deleting his character as a statement, snidely regarding the community and using them as his shield for why he couldn't voice his opinion earlier (which, to me, has the same energy as those people wearing facemasks that read "silenced") just makes me question how much of his argument is actually coming from a level heading criticism or if he's just mad that he doesn't enjoy it anymore. Particularly that "Stand and let things resolve" take is more of a existentialist take that some gamers go through when the veil of what a game is starts to dissolve. Like for me personally, I used to enjoy sandbox games until it occurred to me that most of them don't have any real tangible goals, that it's simply there to eat up your time until you don't find it fun anymore. If he's been playing MMOs like a full time job and the magic of those games fades and they aren't fun anymore, that's a huge hit to your dopamine. I think that's a contributing factor for where his anger comes from and why he's redirecting it at people who enjoy the story or the social aspect of the game.

  2. Ah yes, save this man from the "cat moms" ruining the game for him. Real talk, the cat moms who play casually and probably have an etsy store and write fanfic or something do way more for the game than someone who only logs on to raid because he thinks anything not hardcore is cringe

  3. When this guy said "the game used to care for EVERYONE" I almost loudly said "and you surely think you are 'EVERYONE'" like how egocentrical do you have to be to ignore 95% of the content in the game literally made for everyone and then proclaim it doesn't?

  4. The guy sounds like he joined a couple of years in when there was already a giant backlog of content.
Then slowly went through that backlog and is upset that they can't feed him at the rate hes consuming it, like "they used to" (Not really he was just consuming things that accumulated over time)

  5. me as an ex wow player: Not this shit again. I'm tired of people that want to tell me how should i play an mmo, of elitist raidlogger thad complain as soon as the game don't cater only to them. Wow is dying because of people like this

  6. "who dont play the game at all and spend their sub money in player made houses" Yea and most people who make houses in final fantasy should start applying for indy companies as Level designers since some of those places are insane – as you saw with the swage clip he has Team Brisk on his stream – make fun of the RP scene all you want but we have more translatable IRL skills than any other type of gamer.

Also assuming since this is Xeems channel this is fine but P10 has less mechanics than Hardmode lichking which came out years before it. Thinking people wouldnt clear it in 2014 is a bad take imo – especially when we had LEGION the same years you had Heavensward and Legion had much much harder things than p10 for base content

    1. The game still care for everyone.

I don't think the Youtuber understand whats coming out of his mouth. He just became what salty WoW players were before. Nothing has changed.

  8. The whole video this guy made just reeked of him being personally pissed off. Like you quit it's fine if you dont like it kay yea idk why you fucking delete your whole character like that sends some message eh? I really hated how he went to insult how people play this game, I started by the End of Shadowbringers when there was this "content" draught I literally just played through it at my pace and reached "Endgame" I think the first things I did was farming mounts, I remember when I saw someone on the Ramuh Horse mount and I was like "WOAH that looks cool how do I get it?" And there my journey into raids began a total noob, I started healing gradually enjoying learning fights I was not even thinking of min maxing anything at that point. I did not clear the tier there I was a little too late and never made Shiva but I did all the ones after.

After my first tier I wanted to see Ultimates I did the easy one and god the whole ordeal took me like 4-6 Weeks and it was so much fun. I went into doing Eureka Bozja content, grinding out mounts I hadn't gotten waiting for new raids. Most of all I always enjoyed the story, the time s pent with my FC with friends guessing what would happen next in the story sharing our weird head cannons. Someone took us to some crazy RP Party and man its weird how much fun I had.

I got a bit more competitive in Endwalker challenging myself to do better damage and enjoying how much little things made a difference and recently when I was done with my tiers I started DSR which we killed a few weeks ago. And I am still enjoying the game to this day. I do not logg in every day. I level an Alt Character to replay the story surprisingly still crying at the same bits I did before, while I take a bit of a break. I play BG3 on the side just chilling out and learning new jobs. Getting my last jobs to 90…

I can agree that I liked SHB more content wise in pre-patches. I care not to rush the island things recently just got back into it but I took the time I had to do content I did not try before, I think its cool how everyone can play this game so differently and enjoy themselves and if there is nothing to do for you then I think its fine to take a break. My boyfriend literally plays another game and only logged in for his house for a time but stayed subbed. He wants to come back before the new expansion catch up on story play that new expansion and then he may stop again and I think that's totally fine. But yea I did not like the video this guy made like Xeno said super biased take and he was constantly shitting on players he feels have less of a right to enjoy a game their way thats what it felt like to me at any rate.

Great video btw. I really liked hearing your thoughts, sharing some old FFXIV stories like how it used to be I dont think I would have played 14 before SHB or would have enjoyed it as much if it wasnt so accessible as it became back then and though I too dislike some things I have faith they work it out eventually.

  9. I am somewhere between a filthy casual and a midcore player of ff14.

And let me tell ya, if it werent for the "sad words on the screen" i wouldnt have put as much time into this game as i did.

Endwalker is my favroite expansion, (ive been playing off and on since stormblood) and it did so because it emotionally resonated with me in a way that games rarely do.
Without the context of story, i wouldnt have leveled 9 classes to max level, completed 4 relics from eureka, 3 anima relics, an ARR relics. All the 24 and 8 man raids. I even bought a house.

I did these things become i fell in love with the world they built and became invested in my charscters place in it.
I put 2,000 hours into this game, and I have never touched the hard core content.

All the reason's i love his game and all the time i invested were basically dismissed in two sentences.

  10. Isn't this the guy that had HUGE static drama, got gaslit and kicked out of the static for no fault of his own (or at least for a mistake he didn't commit?)? He is very bitter, probably couldn't find another static that clicked with him and quit because he couldn't find another reason to stay engaged with the game. His take on how bad PF raiding is, just shows that he probably tried and hated it.

The game has its strengths and weaknesses. Just accept it. Don't like it, don't play it. BUt yes, this game IS for everyone and the release schedule / content shows it.

  11. He tried to make some good arguments, but ended up sounding bitter with a ton of personal drama. I mean who the fuck does he think he is to complain about "bad players" in an MMO.

  12. THIS GAME IS NOT FOR EVERYONE, this game is only for he bottom casual and highest end raider.

I agree with most of his points though, I think the one bitter here is Xeno someone making their problems heard and trying to devalue his opinions, dude is out of touch.
They trying to cater to only the bottom casual and highest raider, majority in the middle that want something in between has been left out for YEARS!

  13. I want to touch on the fact that he's griping about people being bad during Roulettes. Roulettes exist as a way to incentivize people to play older content for the rewards. Does anyone here remember how bad it was for new players to advance from ARR because NO ONE was doing the old content anymore so they invented Main Scenario Roulette? Simply put, if you go into a roulette thinking that everyone is going to know the content or their class, you're already in a bad mindset. It is expected for players not to be good during Roulettes because you will often get paired with people whoa are either new to the game, new to the dungeon, or even new to the class they are playing in some way. Hell, SE even gave us a way to skip a majority of the leveling by offering Level Skip items in the cash shop. Whenever someone doesn't know what they are doing, I don't assume they are bad at the game, I assume they are new in some way.

It's so stupid to think that people not being good during roulettes, which is arguably some of the easiest content in the game since it's mostly dungeons, normals, or alliance raids, is equal to players who are just bad at the game as if sprouts didn't exist. This dude's mentality as a whole is extremely wrong when you consider that his only complaint is that the game isn't hard enough somehow, even though he's never even played Endwalker which arguably has some of the hardest content ever made for this game. I remember P4S being a nightmare at times, but damn was I proud when I beat that fight the first time with my group. I will definitely need to see what other people's take is on this video because I'm starting to see a lot of reactions and it's refreshing to see how others truly view the game's current state.

  14. I used to be like him as well, but now that i worked as a developers, it changed my perspective about many things.

Super uber difficult design just doesn't sell, can i add 8 additional abilities or 12 buffs that interact with each other? Sure, but will the average playerbase care enough to learn about it, not really.

Classic Hardcore for example, despite its name, is actually super simple, this is the game where "catmom" and "drunk dads" can play and have a laugh at it. And those catmom pay just as much sub money as you do, and im sure everyone know that there are more catmom players than ultimate raiders.

  15. This is a guy complaining about story in a Final Fantasy game. wtf. Good freakin' riddance I hope he never returns. Reminds me of how in my old WoW guild there was a guy who complained about us putting more priority into RP as opposed to gearing… We were an RP guild. On an RP server.

Xeno I'm so glad you don't have a stick so far up your ass about the concept of appreciating other content that other people enjoy even if it's not for you. I know your react videos is like this crazy new phenomenon for your viewership but you got my sub because you absolutely respect and own the fun philosophy of "people will get the fun out of whatever it is they look for", and I very much appreciate that. It's such a cool mindset that honestly more people need to adopt. Thank you for being an awesome second opinion on these kinds of videos because holy crap these videos are everywhere x_x

  16. This guy was amazing at the game and got burnt out and has nothing else going on in his life. It was clear from his "I'm quitting" video. Nobody fucking cares if you stop playing a video game. You're not any more important than anyone else lynx calm tf down

  17. Xenos I'm so glad I found your vids because your critiques are like always fair and make sense. THIS DUDE tho…no cap as a long time WoW raider he sounds just as sweaty and needy as some of those mythic raiders mad Blizzard dare make story or casual content in an MMO already overfocused on raids. It's nuts how badly biased you can tell his entitlement is

  18. I started the game right before Endwalker, I'd say I'm more on the casual side gamer, since I haven't done any savages or ultimates and don't really plan to since I personally just get too nervous. I probably could do them tbh but my mental state just isn't for it lol. Anyways I fully purchased the game and Pre-ordered Endwalker before I even finished the free trial, thats how confident I was in getting my money and times worth of the game, and I did, in 1 year I maxed out all my battle, hand and land jobs, I finished all "normal" content in the game, meaning all Dungeons, trials, raids, instances(Eureka, Bozja) even farmed all mounts from trials up to dragons(IK this is extreme trials but its old expansions that you can just unsync), I finished at the very least 1 of every expansion relic in the game, including getting every single relic for crafting and gathering. Also this includes the Gold Saucer too, completely bought out every MGP costing item in there, and PvP finished every series that came up since I started playing. All of that I did in 1 year which is already my most worth while game time for my money. 2nd place would be ESO which only kept my attention for about 6months, THAT'S HALF THE TIME THAT FF got me hooked on it and for about the same price since ESO requires you to either pay membership or pay $40 per expansion on top of buying the new side dungeons that bring in new gear LOL yes you have to BUY each DUNGEON, imagine doing that for each side dungeon on FF, except gear in dungeons on FF are mainly for glam tbh. So now my 2nd year of playing the game I've been on and off because to me the fun was achieving all of that, maintaining though on the other hand is boring for me, its not that I'm burnt out, just simply bored and that's fine, I already had my great time and I'm happy with it, It was a great game to play, and will continue playing every now and then just to keep up with the story since I'm invested in the story.

  19. guy can go back to wow and live on the weakaura/gear treadmill then I guess idk what this guy expects, there's for sure some valid points like dumbing down of healers that are pretty egregious but alot of this is "it's not like wow" ok dude, so go play wow? I really do not understand

  20. When he started talking about cross class skills, i was expecting the entire video to just be shit post, he sound like the people claiming classic wow raids and endgame was far more challenging than modern wow raids, until classic released and people steam rolled those
