a continuation of my story of a drama that happened in the old FC i was in, and my thoughts about the passive aggressive of some players in the game.

  1. If someone kept nagging me to join their discord, I would just leave that free company.

I already dont care to use discord as it is.
If you are playing ffxiv then its up to you how you enjoy the game.

Its not anyones business or right to tell you how to play ffxiv.

  2. I got kicked out of an FC for being polite to one of the leaders. Cause he was dating another leader, and she…I don't know what she thought.
Noone talked to me about it.
Afterwards, she said: I didn't think you liked me because you never said hello when I joined the chat.
I don't say hello to a lot of people, I'm trying to play a game.
She offered to invite me again, but I have enough problems, I can't be bothered about someone making up pretend reasons to kick me.
That must be such a secure relationship though, "she said hello to you, I must kick her!"
    lmfao

  3. Sry to hear what happened there. Most of these problems start only cuz the bully has so many unchecked mental illnesses or other kinds of issues they need to unpack but aren't.
Some comments here give good advice or insight on other people's experiences with this kinda bs but you easily forget how everyone deals with problems differently, especially if someone has a hard time saying "No!" or just leaving the FC whenever but even leaving isn't enough. Some bullies really love to stalk their victims. You can kick someone from your friendslist but they can still see you when they still have you on theirs. The reporting system sucks in FFXIV man ._. I hope it gets changed with the new expansion at least.
The only way to deal with these things in the future is:
    1. Be aware of red flags!
    2. Call red flags out and stay your ground. Stick with your closest friends and make sure to keep things documented/saved i.e. via screenshots
    3. Stay sceptic no matter what.
A lot of people suggest just being in an FC with your closest friends but not everyone can afford that. Most people make friends through FCs with people they never met before. I know a friend who lost half of his FC (he was the owner of it so it doesn't matter who has what kind of power dynamic) to his ex-best friend for petty shit. They used to be best buddies online and offline. They have known each other in person since early WoW times.
People change for good and bad. Stay safe.

  4. some people are weird, I had someone try to pose as me (in a way). People would mention my name and she'd go: "yes?". She changed her char to look similar to mine and all. It was creepy
