yoshi-p shows up at every rising event, which is the anniversary event for the game each year 🙂 the character he actually plays in game is a cute little lalafel though! You'll see her during live letters and such!

"Why did they decide on the 8-bit version" Mate, there is a mini-game in Ul'dah you missed. Talk to a Lalafell NPC near the Rising stage and you will see the mini-game. Go nuts xD
Also, if you do some of the dungeons with the icon "10th" to them, you can 'buy' the Answers orchestrion roll from the Moogle 'vendor'. There's a lot of stuff on that 'vendor's' list. You might want to check that out.
In the orange area of your map (which you can see 21 seconds into the video), you can see a curvy thing that looks like a v. It actually is an arrow pointing downwards. It refers to elevation. It meant that your quest objective was at a lower elevation than you were. It's a handy feature to find something in an area that has multiple elevations, which wasn't always present in the game.

To clear up some of that confusion:
The Dotharl believe in Reincarnation. if one of their warriors dies, their soul is eventually reborn in the tribe and they give the reborn warrior the same name so they may live on.
(Just a note, this is scientific FACT in FFXIV, but not to that great an extent. Remember your first Powerpoint Presentation about the Lifestream back in ARR!)

5:48 – there is a moogle minigame for this event in ul'dah that uses those 8-bit tracks
Hyura, you can get the answers orchestrion roll if you play the moogle tome anniversary event! It just means playing specific raids, alliances or other content. It's 50 tomes, which is pretty easy to get with this event! Go forth and claim what's yours!
