Valid points I started with Dummy, Extremes, Relevant Savage Tier and I finally went into Ultimates. A mix of POV's with finding the right group and being honest with urself on what type of group you want to join if you do a static or not. My biggest no no's for static's is if I mess up I don't mind talking about it etc but not in a condescending tone. No weird vibes by the end of the day I'm there to have fun.
Being nice is number one cuz without that nobody will want you lol
Training dummy practice is incredibly good for improving. Being able to practice your rotation so it's muscle memory frees up so much brain space for prog or remembering mechanics.
The only problem I currently have with the Training Dummy is that as for example as a DNC you cannot properly do the rotation, since there is no extra esprit generation by the dance partner/the group during tech finish. At leat the Stone, Sky, Sea should do something to "simulate" playing with 8 people.
That "Comparison is the thief of joy" quote slaps my nuts so hard lol. For the longest time I've been in a rut cause I'm comparing my skills to other players, now I'm hella motivated to do my own shit and finally clear an Ultimate, thanks for the vid Alninio!!
Honestly, the base of what makes a good player is "giving a shit". Very plain and simply put, its at least giving enough of a shit to do mechanics, learn them, learn the rotations, make effort to communicate. That already sets the basis on becoming a good player. Everything else is practice.
To me a good Player is a person who does their best while also keeping a good personality and is accepting of others! Who works to better not only themselves but other players as well!
