  1. End game "raiders' you did this. It would appear the top "10%" was gatekeeping by making everyone think if they needed ACT to win, everyone needs ACT to win. I am done saying any player that uses ACT is better than me because it is not true. They HAVE to use ACT win, they are worse players then me. Every time we see anyone claim to be a high end raider and use any combat 3rd party tool to make the fights easier they should be called out.

Even Zepla is saying it is difficult without ACT, like it is suppose to be! I do savege blind and it is hard and fun, the way it was meant. Anyone who now defends ACT shows their true colors. Get good people and stop crying for harder content then cheat when it is too hard because you must keep the title of "good" player, instead of actually being a good player.

What this is showing is world first players are not as good as they claim to be. I seen streamers say they need all these tools, to include ACT, or else they can't beat the raid. Those who need any 3rd party tool should be stripped of title of end game player. I hear them crying that TOP is too hard and these are players who say they want a challenge, but only one they can beat. If they can't beat it they must cheat, they only care about "W"s now.

  2. I agree with what your saying Krimson. I enjoy watching the Ultimate Raid Tiers not just for them to clear the boss fights. But the trial and errors as well. Watching them wipe, figuring out new strategies, and seeing how the boss does their mechanics and how hard each of them are. That is just pure fun to watch. Doing ultimate raids without add-ons is basically the best way to fight them. It shows that you don't need to cheat to beat them. And no matter how much people will try to defend it. Your still cheating by using those third party add-ons.

  3. The whole fact that Yoshi-P essentially said "why even bother making ultimates?" shows how infinitely done he is with this nonsense. Honestly, these people are just going to keep pushing that line further and further without stop as has been shown many, MANY times in the past. If removing high-end content that only a handful of people attempt, much less clear, is the answer he comes to? Good. Same deal with why small-group PVP has no chat function. People were told TO STOP HARASSING EACH OTHER. They didn't. So all we get until the end of time is premade auto-text buttons. It CAN happen, and if people keep slapping the hornet nest, you are gonna get stung. Seriously.

That said, I'd be sad if this ended up happening. So seriously, can we quit being absolute idiots? Please? First rule of Fight Club. Don't f'ing talk about FIGHT CLUB.

  4. just the cream on top of this pie is the memes. they are all glorious and honestly, the cheaters deserve this. and Yoshi-P is such a good guy, so making him upset like this literally feels awful. Yea this is basically a dad disappointed in his extended family and it sucks Dx People need to stop acting like this and just do better.

I don't personally do the high end content. i am a very casual (and alt addicted xD) player, but i love seeing videos from groups like NEST do them. I love learning dungeons, and I stream consistently when i play FF XIV x3 i hope this is the wakeup call that all those who claimed it was 'ok' needed and heed.

  5. Sad thing about this is the Ultimate titles and weapons may become a mark of shame rather than achievement. So I can understand them wanting to not just make Ultimates anymore because what's the point? It's the same as the stairs in Labyrinth of the Ancients, you put an effort on designing it but everyone just jump across it. XD

  6. I understand why these ultimates were made, and who they were made for, and I think that the whole World Race thing is a fun motivator for the raiders. 😊

But unless there’s an actual “prize” besides bragging rights, I honestly don’t get why people use third party tools.

  7. I use add-ons and plugins solely cosmetic or don't effect my game-play. I.E. shaders, fps counter, and a plugin that lets me play and listen to any of the in-game music at any time(like listening to Titan's theme while i farm in Bozja sort of plugin), quality of life stuff. I even used to use one to see buff timers on my party list and the cd time on my buttons. However since that now is in-game I've removed that one.

The one time i DID install a plugin the effected my game-play was one that showed a dot under my player of its hit-box, did some EW trials with it and could now see if i was truly in an aoe or not. I uninstalled that one after 2hrs, took all the fun out of the fights for me.

  8. It should have never gone too far. We as the community should have been policing modding and cheating. Instead we became wishy washy about ACT and ‘don’t stream 3rd party tools’ until we all tacitly tolerated the use of cheats and mods.

  9. With Yoshi P and the team making an example of these raiders, watching this whole thing go down and seeing everyone talk about it has been like watching a public execution in the town square and everyone talking about it at the tavern afterwards xD

  10. You mention Tetris. Here's a fun fact: Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple computers, held the record for Tetris in Nintendo Power, continually beating his own high score until Nintendo Power refused to post his high scores anymore. So he used various pseudonyms and continued posting scores until they stopped posting high scores for Tetris.

  11. as a long time player i think they should of outright ban the entire raid team
make an example cuz u not gonna tell me they didnt know about the guy using the zoom out function and stuff
ive been playing this game for 12y now and never used 3th party tool i hated it when i played wow and i hate it in FF14
also the not stream rule was sacred like u dont talk about it ,u dont show it and use it for comfort nobody in game will say anything
its getting this bad i see big streamers defend this and the defense put up is just so weak
"not everyone can or want to stream" "discord is a third party tool" "everyone is gonna use it so why shouldnt i" its just all so weak
i wish it was an outright ban for all players involved with this and move on from it

  12. my brother is color blind so he had an add-on that helps him with that and I've used some glamor/cosmectic add-ons but again they don't help me clear anything. Though i'm more afraid that small things like that are going to ruin the tiny things for everyone.

  13. Take it from a casual like me. I would give a nod behind the screen if I seen an Ultimate weapon. Give them a true congrats if I was acquainted.

Now? With this being called out more and more, I have become apathetic to the whole thing and the community has as well. Any prestige you garnered in the community is starting to dissapears. Which is probably the best way the community can do to make the cheaters go away. Once those who do it do not care about status, the only ones who will do it are the self obsessed achievers who do not gloat and the true raiders for challenge.

Then it will go back to the way it was. If they do cheat, they take it to their grave.
