The tears just wouldn’t stop… This moment definitely topped the 5.0 finale. But now I’m convinced it CAN’T get better than this. I don’t know what Endwalker holds but it surely can’t be better than 5.3… r-right?

Elidibus dragged us through the emotional wringer in this one. Forcing us to relive every big moment we’ve experienced so far. Papalymo, Moenbryda, Haurchefant, Ysayle, Tsuyu.. So much emotional pain in so little time. It all led into such a beautiful finale in the Seat of Sacrifice. For those we have lost, for those we can yet save.

  5. I've only just started watching your videos and I have been thoroughly enjoying your highlight videos and have been so excited to see you reach this point, I was in tears at so many points in this expansion like you. Shadowbringers was a masterpiece.
    Also, fun fact: the man who voices Seto is the same one who voiced Thordan.

  6. Very first group, the Scions, and he's already crying. This patch is going to tear him apart. 34:25, he takes a deep breath and relaxes, thinking it's over. Nope. So many more huge gut punches left. And his absolute rage at seeing "the body." Perfect! And that "disinterested" remark, made me choke up laughing.

  7. Thanks you for the upload. Was anticipating this, and the reactions did not dissappoint. At the time, the Seto scene was the one that got me good. For about a year now, I own a pet, so that scene hits even harder now.

  10. It hits hard when you realize that Elidibus is around your height…and the phantom Ancients called you all children.

    Elidibus must have been relatively young when he willingly gave himself up to be Zodiark's heart. And then spent millenia trying to perform a duty for people he had slowly forgotten about. His voice actor does a great job slowly transitioning from indignation to confusion in that one line

  14. There will never be another "patch day experience" like the 5.3 patch day experience, I feel
    Having to wait those extra months due to covid, waiting and waiting and waiting, then finding out at FANFEST a few months later with the reveal of Endwalker that Soken wrote the song for the trial, To The Edge, while in the hospital fighting cancer, potentially being the last song he would ever write in his life, and all these emotions welling up and pouring out with the end of Shadowbringers for the characters involved and the players, far and above considered the best this game has ever had in terms of story, even after Endwalker to some

  16. The "problem" with the Ascians as the antagonists is that it's too easy to relate to them. Many of us would have followed the same path had we been in their position. They were just trying to save their world – exactly the same thing that we keep fighting for.

  18. I think I have seen the scenes after WoL fight + Seto scene, about 20 times now by watching streamers (and ofc playing the msq myself) and still, STILL it makes me cry every time.
    Have a great time with the rest of MSQ and take your time! Remember to hydrate after tears!

  23. I am offended that anyone dared call Zenos "Dollar Store Sephiroth". Zenos has actual character, Sephiroth was a 1 dimensional edgy villain. Some people may not like Zenos' characterization, but he is very much a product of the world around him.

  34. The defector… That word sound like they are the worst. I'd say that the defector had something else to do, probably something more important than the final days or maybe didn't see reason to pick a side and just let everything go to ashes? No, really, I don't know the defector's reasons.
    9:18 idk this whole section I was like "oh my, I remember them all!" and moved on. My reaction was more in line of "this is so cool!".

  42. I always say one thing in regards to this patch. If something had gone horribly wrong and the game ended here, with patch 5.3, it still would have been a perfect ending. Yes even with the tease of what’s to come. Not to discount what IS to come I should clarify. This still would have made a more than satisfactory ending.

    Thankfully it didn’t just stop there and we got the ending we did in EW. Enjoy the ride. You’re not done just yet.

    if you and another player with the mammeteer title (for owning 10 wind-up minions) each have a wind-up Runar and Wind-up Y'shtola/Matoya out at the same time they'll recreate the scene at 52:25 . With the difference that she'll accept the flower
