Linkshells and pearls are one of the things that immediately made me feel at home in XIV, coming from XI!

Followup question, my Au Ra has no ears by nature of being Au Ra, how does the link pearl work for me?
just FYI: the A in Aether is silent. It is pronounced EE-thr.
In other words, FF14 had to BS a reason for how and why cell phones and Airpods exist in game.
I didn't realize there was an actual linkshell relay. The pearls being connect makes way more sense now.
I absolutely love how Aether was crafted to essentially back up video game mechanics with lore

Now here's a question: How to Linkpealrs work for Au ra? They have no ears to stick them in! Do they need special ones to attach to their horns? I'm just imagining them taping a linkpearl to the underside of their horns lol.

I'm not sure if this is answered in the lore, but how do they handle being part of multiple linkshells? Say, WoL is in a linkshell with Scions of course, then in a shell with Maelstrom, then a friends/FC/personal shell. Do they have to keep 3 pearls in their ear? Are they able to basically have all shells they are part of channel to one pearl?
I was hoping a more in-depth explanation and comparison to the linkshells in FFXI, but it was an entertaining video anyway, thanks for the effort.
