I agree with many things you say!
However, the whole "alien learning what its like to be human (….) they wouldnt kill her off because of how the writing has become" I disagree on. They couldve perfectly done that with Zenos and yet they killed him off without leaving the player any choice but to be hostile towards him. All the other villains were treated more nicely and for some reason they just dropped the ball with the dude who obviously had a screwed up upbringing and ultimately lost touch with reality.
I dont count on the writing to keep zero alive just because "thats how the story has been" because they seem to make exceptions when it comes to their "hope and love for all" message
