  2. Even at the age of 58? DUDE!!!! I'm 55 and have been playing FF since the first game! What is this ageist nonsense! XD I've been playing video games since before you were born and I will be holding a keyboard in my hands when they come to put me in my coffin. There is no age limit to loving FF and no age to loving and playing video games!!! Love you kiddo, but come on! ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. This is a moment, for all to remember.

35 years ago, Final Fantasy was made…and 35 years later, the original warrior of light pressing foreward in 14 is one for the history books.

Cid, Matoya, and everyone else would be proud of him. And they will continue to be proud of him, as we all shall be.

So thank you to Hironobu Sakaguchi, Yoshi P, and everyone else for keeping a legacy alive and going strong.

  4. This is such an epic moment. I'm so happy for them both. This alone makes this timeline a bit less shit for me. Sakaguchi and Yoshi-p are the only reasons I still hold on to FF even after all the SE bull crap. Sakaguchi-san is a blessing and I hope he continues to have a great time.

  5. Yes! What a legend!!

PS. On the note of the begining of FF, the financial crisis on Square wasnโ€™t really correct. It was a gamble for Sakaguchi whether he should continue on his gaming career or go back to the college. Sakaguchi confirmed about this story years ago although I donโ€™t exactly remember where I read it.

  6. Can always rely on Quazii for the news,
Shadowlands really was the greatest gift to the MMO space as it freed up so many creators and players to spotlight gems like this

  7. This is so cool. Sakaguchi is a true legend. I grew up playing all the original FF games. I still believe FF7 is still the best game ever made. I sunk so much free time in high school playing it. I remember playing all the early games as a kid with friends drinking soda and staying up all night. I came back to FF14 recently because I quit in ARR because it was horrible. Iโ€™m getting through it now and am almost done with it. Enjoying the game now. Unlocking PVP was huge to break up the grind. Thanks watching some your videos help get motivated to push through it. Avoiding all the MSQ stuff has been hard but havenโ€™t had anything spoiled yet.

  8. Boy oh boy…I woke up and saw this video and clicked on it so fast. So wholesome I can't bear it. I too have been following your commentary about Sakaguchi-san. This whole FF genre is so epic…." How has your journey been…?" …….epic….

  9. Loved this moment and the video. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the notion the "final" was chosen bc it was potentially Square's last gamble is actually a myth. Yes, they weren't hitting homeruns around that time, but they weren't nearly on the edge of bankruptcy as much as people think. "Final" was chosen simply bc they liked the alliteration.

  10. This "meeting" just wasn't more epic because their avatars aren't similar to their real-world counterparts. Yoshida already has his avatar and it looks like it's possible to make a character that resembles Sakaguchi.

At least the Jenomis model exists…

  11. This day is to be remembered .

Final fantasy is my MMO genre's Home , i'll still play it even if i'll be working just to be happy and follow my adventure.

Also looking forward for the next 14h broadcast with these two exchanging word about the series of final fantasy , and , fantasies aside , how actually they enjoy playing this game.

Have a nice day people , hope you'll all be doing well even if it's hard ! <3

  12. I have to admit. Iโ€™m jealous for the JP players being able to be there to witness of that event. NA players get Asmongoldโ€ฆ meh. Iโ€™d rather have a rare sightings of these legends.

  14. What an amazing moment in gaming history! The Final Fantasy series has been such a huge influence on my life. In so many ways. And XIV is a home away from home. Even if I don't feel like playing ill log in just to chill in Old Sharlyan and vibe with the music. Love this series, the players and channels like this! Thanks for the video. Loved it! ๐Ÿ‘

  15. The thought of having the father of Final Fantasy create an alliance raid… Wow, that would be so hyped before anything would be shown and definitively players would be much more excited than with "Return to Ivalice" raid or the Nier raid.

  17. Love me some Sakaguchi news. I actually saw him in person once at an Earthbound Papas concert (Nobuo Uematsu's band name at the time), but didn't even realize it was him at first until someone else figured it out and asked if he could sign something. I think it was a copy of The Last Story. The lights were all off for the concert, so it was hard to see. He had a small entourage with him, though that might just be family?
