Final Fantasy XIV's Answer to Mythic Dungeons? | FFXIV Variant / Criterion / Savage Dungeons

As someone who loves running Dungeons in MMOs, Criterion Dungeons is my most hyped feature of FFXIV 6.2.

  1. Ultimatum used to be a tank action back in Stromblood and its an aoe taunt, dont really know why they removed it and honestly fairly upset to see them stick it into variant dungeons and not giving it back to the tanks since its extremely useful in both dungeons and raids

  2. FYI – Ultimatum is an AoE Provoke that tanks used to have. Years ago, when the devs completely changed tanking, it was removed. On top of Ultimatum, tanks also used to have two separate 123 combos. One was used while solo or off-tanking and was their "damage" string. The other did less damage but generated far more aggro. Also, tank stance used to reduce your damage dealt.

  3. as long as it isn't to heavily timed I might give it a chance. I hate timed content. That is why I hated M+ in WoW. I hate the "go go go go" mindset it fosters. I like fighting challenging encounters, not timers.

  4. A few of my friends came over with me from WoW, and our favorite part of the game was M+. While this isn't a direct comparison, it'll be fun to have challenging content. To do

  5. I am pretty sure savage needs to be done in 1 go without checkpoints. Though enough people frustrated will likely lead to a change I think that’s the point of it being difficult. If you can’t really beat it in 1 go there’s the “extreme” version for you to sort of practice.

  6. I remember long time ago when I was beta testing ARR, I was told that we can change jobs instantly anywhere. I assumed we were able to do so during fights. I've thought this was cool because in FF11 Online which played for 8 years, we could only change jobs while you're in the inn. When I figured out that we couldn't change jobs in an instance or during battles, I was bummed out. But now, this forgotten wish that I have somewhat came true with this new dungeon. I can't wait to see how this will work out.
