Every veterans of FF14 who has been there since the beginning were cheering when they heard this new difficult version of dungeon. We've been waiting for something that were hard with small party.
Well thats one of the things the community wanted for a while now. Let's hope they'll deliver the same high quality in those as with the majority of other content in the game.
mark my words- toxicity in this game will skyrocket because of this.
Variant dungeons? Cool.

Sorry guys, but this has nothing to do with m+ dungeons in the slightest. This is basically just heroic dungeons with a timer and without a class that can revive, which makes you wonder if people are gonna bother taking classes with ress or buffs in small group content.
So now theres gonna be even harder dungeons then the normal Hard dungeons in endgame
Some challenge than pulling the entire room of mobs to aoe them down
mythic dungeons (1 dungeon)
This is FF they gonna make it so cassual that wont matter on 2 weeks

As someone who went from WoW to FFXIV, and M+ being my main content pushing 23+ keys as arcane and such, this will officially kill WoW for me. I'm super excited! I go back to WoW time to time just for the M+ itch

as long as there are no keys that punish you when you lose them, i dont mind.
I'm sure this will be popular. I've never been a fan of this sort of design, with the same dungeon/raid available in different levels of difficulty. My ideal would be to progress to harder and harder content that is completely original. But if you avoid the WoW mythic+ or GW2 fractal experience where it's the same dungeon many dozens of times as you progress, and I gather it won't be like that, I'll likely enjoy it. I worry it might be bad in duty finder with random players – as in WoW mythic+. But people in preformed groups should have fun.
I don't know… restricting things you can ususlly do seems a bit "cheap" instead of working the difficulty around all skills we can use. Not a big fan of time limit either, this just means things can be tackled in one way only instead of having freedom to do other tactics, still gonna try this with my friends!
eh, id have to see it. It wont be like mythic plus cuz ffxiv seems to not care at all about CC, interrupts, kiteing, ect. Trash is just a joke, tank pulls everything. Ill wait an see, but I hope its more then just ""remember where to move"

But isn’t mythic dungeons in WoW hated or is it the thing that’s needed for the run and if 1 messes up, people becomes upset and just leaves ?
Well, at first I was like: Finally wow players will shut the fuck out and have a place in FFXIV to be toxic without bothering the rest. But, after giving it a bit more of thought I've come to the conclusion that it enriches the game, brings more people to the game and most importantly, not every content in the game is for every kind of player. Enjoy it! I'm happy for all of us, I'll be giving it quite some tries as it seems really fun and challenging!
Btw, Despi, I wouldn't call it mythic+ since it has only normal, extreme and savage, you cannot go further than that. Please correct me if I'm mistaken! 🙂
I like the way they are implementing it here. Not based on keys, just more challenges to overcome, and some variation. The dungeons will be made specifically for this mode and in my opinion it's better than existing dungeons with affixes that don't fit with the content. If it's successful I hope they add more.
Curious to see how this will play out given that trash mobs in ff14 dungeons don't really have mechanics… unless they drastically change the way their dungeons are structured like a choice not needing to pull all the mobs, which seems kind of doubtful given that the path is set on higher difficulties, or give mobs abilities that need counterplay beyond rotate cooldowns and step out of the orange, I have a hard time picturing this being anything more than wall to wall pulls and deathballs with a higher gear check.
