High fantasy plants and biomes:
Fae plants and creatures from il mheg
Blessed ones from twelveswood
Aspected ones(by each element including light,shadow and primal lifeforce/aether)
Ultima flora-echoes of doomed worlds resurrected by hope
Unsundered plants
Voidborn plants
Primal themed plants if apropriate(Lakshmi's alluring lotus maybe)
Not in particular order, want the island to reflect on our journey, as for the variety I would love to see trees, bushes and water plants.
If only a few things from this list make it to the island I will be so happy

This does leave me with a question. For those of us without a house, would it be like a house with all the features as well?
Personally I hate farming sims like Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing and Terarria. I think they’re pretty boring. I might check out Island Sanctuary if you can customize the island similar to a house since it will probably be the closest thing to instanced housing. Overall though my expectations are pretty low.

Sounds like WoW Garrisons mixed with Wildstar plot (in terms of travel between them), with some stardew mixed in.

With Island Sanctuary…I like to think Housing is more or less Obsolete. Why need a home, if u have a freaken island AS your home XD
I bet this may be expanded out into true instanced housing in an expansion or two based how much it's utilized after launch, but it already sounds great.

Like you get your own island with your house, farm plots… etc.
And with enough res. you can upgrade it to get bigger.
