One of the winners for this contest is a hrothgar player. They got the Cloud hairstyle in their mooglemail. So hopefully hrothgar get Strife Hair in 6.2 or that winner got screwed. Also put Strife in the game for like 1M mgp finally its so lame just a random giveaway
I think the joke Dragoon one will be good for cat maid style glams. It's like a big feather duster. These are all amazing. I especially like the ninja ones, I love knife looking stuff. I can see a lot of these being fun rp stuff, even those monk shark things look like oven mits.

I, an aspiring concept artist and huge final fantasy 14 fan had no idea this was happening, did they like not advertise it or something, I am actually crying right now lol, my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. Seriously though, I love that the Devs do stuff like this, this is why we love ff14 but would it kill them to just advertise it a bit more

i have a katana looking umbrella and never had a problem lol, but i do be mindful in public still because i don't want people thinking i actually have a weapon, so i carry it unsheathed ( without the bag thing to carry on shoulder) so people can see its an umbrella 😅

*I really like FF14 and play it a lot; however, the one thing I totally do not like is the weapons, ships designs. Perhaps its because I am in engineering and all of these crazy FF15 weapon designs look very nice, but I dont like them because if they were real with the designs they use….they would fall a part very quickly because weapons designed like these would break, fall apart in the first few swings because they are thin where they should be thick, have crap like feathers and animal claws designed into them which would be not just a poor design but they are just not real! I mean yes the fantasy in Fantasy and all that, but surely these designers have never heard of engineering because ships made like the Mana Cutter (all the ships in FF) would break into a million pieces the second they bumped into anything. If they only made things so they could actually work it would make things much more realistic. Swords connected at the cross-guard by toothpick thin steel wouldnt work! Its like me building a car out of paper mache: I could make it look cool, but the second anyone used it, it would break. Gotta have a touch of reality here folks!

I can not believe that the ARR relic weapon for BLM has not been topped to this day.
The Katana looks so basic compared to a lot of the other weapons. We have a ton in the game with a similar appearance that keep it from feeling really unique. The umbrella one, though? That's cool.

the Paladin weapon is cool. I'm not a fan of the warrior weapon. the DK weapon is too bright, it's too golden and bright. it's something a retipution paladin in WoW would use or Paladin in FF14 if they had a dps spec, no thanks! The design is very cool. but it's not a Dark knight weapon, it's too bright and cheery looking. I'd take the joke version below instead, although it looks like a pink samurai sword. The gunbreaker is fantastic, the best looking one so far in the video. I'm pausing and stopping to write as I see it. the shark blade is very cool too. the gunbreaker wepons are by far my favorites.
the monk one look cool. but the joke version is like a shark hand puppet hahaha! I love that! the Dragoon weapon is very cool I like the black and blue on it. then you need a armor set that is black and blue too to go with it. the ninja one looks like a kitchen knife, it looks like one of those.. what are they called.. steak knife yeah.. that's it.. it looks like a steak knife. the fork and knife thing is like.. "I wanna eat you!" lol. The samurai one looks like a Samurai sword, very cool looking, but I'm not impressed, very little imagination went into this. it looks cool, don't get me wrong, but I expect more than a simple samurai sword. I agree with Zepla. Samurai players got shafted when it came to weapon designs. you have no unique looking weapons in the game.
The Bard weapon is perfect, Not as good as Gunbreaker mind you, but it's fantastic. the only thing I would do diffeently in the design is have the top and the bottom of the bow be the same. Like, I would have the bottom curle around too, just not have a bird on it. then it would be perfect. I like the squirrel one too. it would be nuts to crittercise it for sure. Dancer should use Chakrams and thats it. giving them swords too, would make the samueai and ninja less unique. this is a mistake, I hate this. the fire version I can get behind though, its a chakram after all.
the black mage weapon looks like a monk weapon from WoW, it has a dangling lantern at the end of it. not a fan of this. the summoner one is alright. red mage… naa… it's like "me like fire, hear me roar". not a fan of this. the umbrella jokes are getting old.
I like the white mage weapon, the moon theme is verry cool. it reminds me of the Balance druid weapon from legion, it had a little half moon on it, I loved that too. the joke version with fork and cake is very clever. 🙂 the scholar one is like.. "here are my paint brushes!" the astrologian one looks ok. the snow globe is cool.
