  1. bruh that first fight is a joke. the mechanics are so obvious and easy. the guy is so off his head. you get exposed so quick if you got boosted and join a duty complete party in the PF

  2. Just to clarify, in current Normal Raid, you get 1 loot per boss per week. If win nothing, do it again.
But in current Savage Raid, you get 1 chance to get loot per boss per week. (You might win everything you roll Need on, or you might win nothing for that boss for that week.)

  3. lets face it. most people dont figure it out when it comes to ff14. they just watch a tutorial on youtube that tells you all the skills to watch for. (like you said i watch tutorials before everything because i dont want to waste peoples time) really the only people that figure it out are figuring out ways to beat it easier than what is told in the tutorial.
combat and gameplay (no need for addons) is what makes ff14 better than wow.

  5. Asmon, in the beginning of the expansion. The entry level tomes and gear are setting the pace for patches that follow shortly within the first few weeks. The entry level tome is not capped at 450, they are capped at 2000. Hence at the beginning of said expansion it gives the opportunity for all players upon release the same starting line. Hit me up, Hoyt Carver of Lamia. 1.0~ 2.0 2013-Present.

  6. Yes, you are biased. You played wow for 15 years. That would qualify as the very definition of bias; also, Old wow players need to stop streaming and being negative about the game and move out of the way for new fresh and excited players to fall in love with the game and get paid to stream and cover it. Move on.

  7. You can call people out etc. in FF. You just can't be an asshole about it. You can also definitely kick people. There are actual human gms that go through reports and look at the context. It's not blanket rules. Just replace "you are shit" with something constructive or just kick them. EZ

  8. You are wrong if you think that you cant play the game because you are not max level. The game is in every level Amsmon. Go run every dungeon, old extremes, they are still not easy or farm status for a non experienced party. Enjoy the game!

  9. Well he is a bit wrong in there.

For Normal Raid/Alliance Raid: loot lock happen only if you get the gear or part of gear from that encounter.
    For extreme: it is free.
For Savage and ultimate: only once chance to loot every week for each encouter. If you defeat the encounter, you will be locked for entire week for the loot regardless you get it or not.

  10. I didn’t see the chat criticize the guys voice but I think it’s fair to say his exaggerated YouTuber-voice is pretty annoying, it’s not like a speech impediment or something the guy is putting on the voice

  11. Ff14 much as I love it and play it nightly does baby the garbage too much. They hide damage meters for the trash scrubs can hide behind everyone's work. You gotta worry about calling people out for being garbage which is hilarious since they're the ones at fault for holding the team back. Amazing game but too much babying goes on.

  12. I played WoW for a long time before ARR came out and the "fuck you you get nothing, see you next week" loot design in a game built with only the endgame, and in same cases one raid for months, mattering was such a dogshit artificial way to waste your time. This week in Pandemonium i had to do the final fight like 8 times to win a drop to get my chestpiece but you know what i did? i did the fight 8 times. I got the piece eventually ending the first week and my personal loot lockout with the piece i targeted and next reset i'll do the same with the legs. With the bonus by doing it so many times i now know when the boss does a knockback vs a cone aoe based on the icon that appears above a glowing red symbol without needing to read a guide. Because being able to do it multiple times until i get what i want also means i am just learning the fight and the bosses mechanics naturally like its a videogame and not an obligation where i might not even get a reward for the week.

  13. 10% of your viewers honestly make me want to just give you a hug. straight up immature scum. looking at your chat after you told them to cut their shit out and to make fun of you. was absolutely infuriating.

i understand you're reasoning for allowing that. but asmon, you said it in one of your previous videos. you are a god damn multi-millionaire, "fuck em" (direct quote from you about twitch). Fuck the people who harass you, it's bullshit.

you literally do not need them anymore. start suspending them or ban them i dont care and i dont think your true fans will give a shit either.

you are a good person zach, don't let these people invade what you love doing. because one day, they might be the reason you call quits for good.

fuck them and fuck anyone who thinks it's still appropriate to make consistent jokes about your appearance. there's a time for screwing around and poking fun at each other. and then there is just being mean, purposefully.

    FUCK EM <3

  14. Isn't LFR basically the same thing though? Low requirement, free entry with min ilvl, zero experience, little to no mechanical knowledge, or game knowledge needed raid experience. I mean maybe I'm seeing this wrong but from my decade on WoW, it feels like that's describing most pugs at the very least. The experience you would get from that in WoW would be far worse as we already know. Also, WoW relies a lot more on group content for prog, while the guy in the video sums up how easy it is to get into end-game raiding in FFIVX. You do it solo, through MSQ. Not saying either system is better, but I don't think a no parse system works for a lot of games. For example, ESO's endgame would be pretty impossible if you couldn't do a parse, I would argue the same for WoW although I didn't Mythic prog much at all. In games like FFIVX and GW2, you can get away with watching TV on a second monitor while doing endgame since it's so mindless. The MSQ plays the same as the Savage raids, nothing wrong with that. However, it wouldn't translate well to other games. I'm excited to see if this will be the case for Lost Ark's endgame too.

  15. The thing about Party Finder and using it for your progression instead of a static is that over time you will develop a reputation, for good or bad, within that community. When I was super active in Stormblood this became very apparent who to instant kick within farming groups. Asmon is 100% right about people wasting your time hoping for a carry as being a hell of a lot more toxic.

I'd be curious to see how it's like these days.
