  1. Main monk since 2.0. With the endwalker changes I say delete mnk. It's gonna be slower, boring with less to do cause rip our ogcd, always was repetitive except now less positional/ things to do. Mnk looks jank. Don't even get me started on the 30 second prepull…..

  2. Yes, i've been fisting things since i became an MMA fighter like 15 years ago, and i go for the fister class in every game i play. If you guys don't like fisting, you are not doing it hard enough 😛

  3. First i was thinking the same thing "why punch shit when i csn hkt stuff with a cool weapon" but since i play monk myself i think what do i need those shitty weapons for if i can fist them to death 😀

  4. Rant incoming: I don’t get why people can’t understand why the MNK job is in the game. I do agree it’s a little weird seeing imperial pugilist try to kill me when they have dudes with spears poking me as well, but hand to hand is still a viable combat style. On the subject of MNK, it’s even better. Monks are definitely some of the strongest characters in this game due to the intense physical/mental training they put themselves through. I mean just look at how Ranjit defeated us in the first battle! All of us!!! If you can output that much power with your fist then it will easily improve your strength while using let’s say a simple sword. The new Thunderclap ability shows us using even more high speed movement than what shoulder tackle has shown, so at this point monks can be compared to Z Fighters, just without the flight lol. Skilled monks can also pin point pressure points and do massive internal damage to an opponent. Referencing the first post you read “why fight with hands when you can use cool looking weapons”. First of all, Byakko’s Gauntlets are so siiick and I don’t even use it, I use Deepshadow Gauntlets for the simplicity, or even just bare hands. 2nd of all, I just think it would be weird if you couldn’t fight with your hands, you know? Being a master of all jobs, it would be so weird to just have no hands whatsoever, from an rp standpoint of course. So basically, it’s just common sense to have it, not to mention diversity, and of course TIFA.

  5. The jobs are alright but what I would remove is the differentiation between “Maiming,” “Scouting,” and “Striking” armors and just say that any melee dps can wear it. A lot of the Striking armor looks really cool but MNK is litterally my least favorite job in the game to play (and free trial so haven’t tried SAM) and I just want to use Striking or Scouting armor on my DRG man.
