  1. I only need three jobs to 80 and to do one last cleaning of my chocobo saddlebag and I'm prepared! Aside from that I just want to finish the last few levels of Zadnor story and do the last Weapon trial and the last 4 Eden stages and I'll have finished everything from Shadowbringers (the first time I've ever done everything from an expansion during that expansion)!

  2. My priorities have been

    1) Gear Up – 530 gear should be able to last you through the 85 dungeon without much trouble. 520 will need to be replaced by the 85 dungeon stuff most of the time. Definitely augment the weapon first or get a relic one if you have the time for it. Relics will also be much harder to get once the next expansion drops and more people leave Bozja.

    2) Glamour – Whether it is Eden or Yohra raids, it will get a lot harder to get people to run the alliance raids after the new expansion is released. So if there's anything you want from it, you should do it now. The caster and healer dress for females from the first set of Eden raids (especially the dyeable Savage one) seems to be quite popular. For males, the Eden Fending Mail from the last set of Eden raids and the Eden Aiming Mail from the first set of Eden raids. The last set of Omega armor is also very popular because it resembles leather. Might want to give that a go as it will get much harder to do so once the next expansion drops since it's being propped up by the relic quest right now. Memoria Miseria Extreme for any class specific gear you might want too. The Monk torso piece is very popular for glamour for both genders.

Lower on the priority list is PvP stuff like the Late Allagan since PvP will usually have decent queues now and Gordian Armor, another popular raid piece since there is a sizable free trial population nowadays that are running Heavensward raids.

For crafted gear, wait until it is no longer relevant and not brand new. Price for them will usually drop over time.

    3) Shadowbringers Notorious Monster Fates – It's going to get a lot harder to get these done once the new expansion is released. Try to get them done now if you want any of the rewards like the iron frog mount or the minions.

  3. EW will be my (and no doubtfully many others’) first time playing FF14 from the beginning of an expansion. Im curious if you guys will eventually discuss how to gear up for the later content when we eventually get there. Like I’m always hearing that you should get your ilevel up and that you should meld, but aside from increasing ilevel, not once was I required to meld in older content for example. Would be interesting to listen to a general discussion about this stuff as a newer player.

  4. This advice is regardless of expansion or patch.

    1) Have your main Class(es)/Job(s) current and up to date in terms of gear. This will save you a few trips in regards to item levels. If need be, Castrum Meridianium and Praetorium are your go-to places, and RowenaMart is your shop. If you’re in a FC with dedicated crafters who are at current cap and peak skills, talk to them, get the materials for them to build the gear should they help, and then PAY them for their services (yes, that’s how bartering works as well as show respect for the crafters’ time and talents).

    2) Build a Gil Balance of at least 5 million Gil. It seems a lot but there are ways to bolster the funding. Find out what’s the best way for you. That said, keep an eye for potential money maker items in the early going and grab one or two of these items to help recuperate expenses.

    3) Remember/Revisit your training. No, I’m not interested in how big your numbers get if you cannot consistently maintain those numbers by forgetting how to attain them OR failing to respond appropriately when facing unavoidable/avoidable attacks. Review your combos and keep flexible as the situation adapts.

    4) Be calm and patient. Don’t be so in a rush of things that you become stressed by the enormity of it all. Step back, take some breaths, meditate if you need to (yes, it helps).

    5) Subscribe to Work To Game and their affiliated channels and partner channels.

    6) If you have macros/keybinds/controller setups, make sure they are in working order. New stuff is going to come at you quickly so you need to make sure your fundamentals are solid. This is similar to #3, not interested in your setup if it doesn’t work.

While this is the last advice I can give, it’s not the least nor the final one:

    ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE.

I’m a toxic player that lost the passion of this game when they took the things I loved and left them to rot but that doesn’t mean you won’t find something enjoyable for the Expansion to come. Finally, you’re about to see how this story ends, so enjoy the Final Fantasy of Eorzea and have some fun while you’re at it.

  5. 1. Buy 70 gear for new jobs
2a. Rerun 70+ dungeons for their respective gear
2b. Clear sufficient inventory space to accommodate the gear needed for new jobs
    3. Think about finishing the relics for your most important jobs and favor off jobs
    4. Wait in uncomfortable anticipation for early access, while you rewatch job trailers for the 1000th time

  6. All that's left is to wait. I've had every job to 80 for almost a year now, did all the raiding I wanted to do, and now I'm just sitting here. But I do have one bit of advice:

Hold on to your Wondrous Tails book from November 9th and have it complete. When the level cap hits 90 (either on the 19th or you can save your book from the 16th for the proper release on the 23rd), turn in your book to get a headstart on leveling

  7. Not a summoner main yet but got some cute smn glam and currently doing the arr zodiac scholar weapon. Probably should get the road outfit too. I’ve already got BIS for healers, phys ranged and casters!

  8. I've accomplished most of my goals before endwalker.

All crafters gatherers to level 80 (only fisher left and it's not that important)

GNB and MCH to 80 to have gun trifecta with SGE

    GNB Relic Done

Make lots of gil as venture capital and get a house (I can afford a house now although I don't have the 20-30 mill I was planning)

  9. I have the story done! Even did Eden and Nier raids. But I’m not 100% ready. I need to get better ilevel gear. Why? Because the story will eventually send me to dungeons and I won’t be able to get in! (It’s happened to me before). What have I not completed? Zadnor. Diamond Weapon. Eureka. Four Lords. I only have 4 jobs at 80. Only Miner and Botanist are at 80. No crafter at 80. So…. yeah. LoL 😂 Could be worse. 😅 My inventories (plural) are an issue because I have too many jobs in need of leveling. Less than a month to go, so let’s see what I can sort out and resolve. Thank you for the video guys. Stay safe. ❤️

  10. I just want to finally finish shadowbringer (I don’t have a lot of time to actually sit down and progress). I’d absolutely love to have GNB, SAM, DRG & RDM ready to go once Endwalker launches, but it’s looking pretty bleak at this moment.

  11. GM FF Fam <3 I have a question: active sub, all current e3xpacs owned. Ordered EW day of release, received codes and unlocked bonus items. Will I need to do anything with codes on the 19th? or should I be locked in and gtg? thank you gentlemen.

  12. My goals are kind of… opposite of each other. I'm gathering 999 of every crafting material, ore, food, etc, because I don't know what past expansion item the new crafted materials are going to need. Like how titancopper needed titanium. In addition to mass gathering an absurd amount of items, i'm also trying to clear out my retainers of garbage.

  13. One thing most players forget is to max out ur Wolf Marks, so you have them saved for the next EW PvP glamour :3

As for me, I've already completed –
    Logs

    – All jobs MAXED out lvl 80 with lvl 510+ gear lvl
    – All 17 Relic Bozjan Blade Weapons
    – All Crafting and Gathering Relics
    – Acquired Zadnor Title: The Emblazoned (10/10/10 Resistance)
    – All 5.x EX mounts for the Waffle Dragon
    – Acquired Fran's Hover Bike Mount
    – All 312 Triple Triad Cards for the Card Mount
    – Completed ALL Sightseeing Logs

(I don't really do SAVAGE or ultimate content, and perfectly fine with that :3 )

Thing I'm getting done now –

    – Complete 5 Remaining Masked Carnival for the last Blue Mage
    Spell
    – Acquire the Fire Rod for Blue Mage

Thing I might try to beat if I have time left (very optional)

    – Acquire Eureka Arsenal Mount
    – Acquire DR Savage Mount
    – Acquire Marbol Mount

  14. So, you guys like to talk about the streamer meta. Here's a thought I had as Brian was talking about working during Endwalker.

A LOT of the new FFXIV streamers are doing really well right now as the rest of us love to reminisce the story with them and see their reactions.

However, come Endwalker, depending on my story progress, I'll probably not watch their channels if they do the same format due to spoiling myself.

  15. I plan using Paladin in Endwalker. I’ll definitely get Paladin to 80 before then as it’s at 73 right now. Already have Dragoon and Dark Knight at 80 and geared and will work on Red Mage after Paladin is maxed. I took a break the last few months prior to bringing Paladin up so it’ll be fun again.

  16. This is my first ffxiv expansion that I get to experience with the whole community. I'm looking forward to not rushing through the msq this time and trying to bask in the Endwalker glow as long as I can. Love the content, thank you for reminding me that I should clean out not just regular inventory but glamour dresser. eeek!

  17. Lol sadly for me it's looking for a job irl or I can't pay for the game. Well a job I actually want, not miserable customer service or restaurant jobs. No more of that. I need a real job at my age. Other than that I'm just casually helping fc mates catch up on leveling and bozja content. And playing other games and doing other things.

  18. I was making coffee biscuits between calls at work cause I have the good fortune to work a job that slows down a lot after banker's business hours. Now that I have all the cookies I need to get as close to EW as I want I need a new time killer. In another video Chris mentioned raiders will consume lots of food and potions. So I've been farming lightening crystals so I'm ready to grind out alchemy and make potions.

  19. My steps that never fail, take time off step one. Step 2 wash my clothing the day before to burn time. Step three order Food and Energy drinks. Step 4 Take naps, step 5 take a nice long shower before release. Step 6 troll people on youtube or watch twitch streamers till launch. step 7 click like a mad man turning into a red head. Step 8 immerse myself in game………………………………….
