I thought the swords were going to sell me already on paladin in EW, but man that holy shelltron is looking pretty sexy with how it works.
I wish they made blocking more powerful
Your magic window does more dps. Now with the changes, BoV's dot is stronger than Goring, so you will want that up and not an unbuffed goring. Your opener will stay the same, BUT your rotation drops the unbuffed goring for something better. All that is needed is to fill that 7ish actions with atonement and hold 1 for the 4 atonement rotation since you're going straight into fof window for goring.
I love paladin outta all tanks most right now. Yea i mess up the rotation but who cares im having fun. I love clemeny too, so fun duoing a boss cause everyone else died.
I have mained Paladin since last winter and recently started leveling Warrior and the ability to self heal with Warrior really caught me off guard. I had no clue that was a thing. The Paladin changes sound really nice but main Warrior is really pulling me in.
So excited to go into Endwalker with my Paladin! This will be my first expansion going in with a raid team too. Super stoked!
Paladin aka the Spreadsheet Tank where its rotation is very tight and punishing if you mess up. I kind of hope it retains that notoriety. Figuring out how fit things around was very fun and Paladin already has crazy mitigation potential. Hearing it has more mitigation potential is great.
54 Paladin: Spam goring blade (still a thing in EW)
60 Paladin: Double Royal Authority
68 Paladin: No Cast time on Holy Spirit. (thank god)
70 Paladin: Caster rotation + double royal authority.
76 Paladin: Muscle memory messes up due to double RA, when you should be doing atonement.
80 Paladin: Full Power (more or less)
Not as bad as some other jobs, but it definitely gets confusing.
