Dustin, FYI for the FFXIV expansions/licenses, the newest one always includes the previous, so you’ll just need to buy Dawntrail and on both PS5 / PC and it’ll include the ones that came before as well.
Edit: also, as far as the job boosts go, you’ll be thrown into the deep end with mechanics and will miss the learning curve of the quests. I recommend just putting in the leg work.

I love this show guys and when all three of you are on here it’s always the best!! Just one thing I wanted to say and I know in no way am I trying to pretend like I’m some dumb dude on the Internet that knows better than everyone else are. Am I at all talking down or trying to act like a jerk towards Dustin I think that the 5090s is gonna be an amazing card But $2000 just doesn’t seem worth it for 30% uplift if that’s all they’re getting the 5080 doesn’t seem like it’s gonna be much better than the 4080 so I mean it doesn’t make sense. Just from what I’ve learned we don’t know for sure and neither do I know everything about it nor am I pretending to.
you can play 4K on OLED monitors and TVs?? pretty sure you can cause I do without a problem with most stuff i believe so . I don’t own an oled but I do have a 4080. I had a 4090 and an amd card with 24GB VRAM. I think it would be best for you to stick with a card that has the most VRam brad sir. I love technology and PCs are the shit. I know not every game is gonna let you play at 4K like that but getting oled tv or monitor will guarantee that you can game at the highest refresh rate and use variable refresh rate in your games to help smooth it out if the game supports it , MSI monitors are affordable and Support some great stuff

Because of Dustin I am back to playing XIV. I’m basically at the same point in the game he is, doing the post ARR patches before Heavensward and it’s just so boring lol but trying to push through. It’s taken me 5 years to get this far playing once or twice a year for a few hours each time

U guys should check out dante's inferno, in it, there's lucifer which is a black boss in that game with a HUGE thing.
Started playing Stellar Blade a few days ago, the game is bloody awesome. Awesome combat, really well realized sci-fi / post-apocalyptic atmosphere. Lots of upgrades end loot to find. Super impressed by it, definitely one of the best games that released in 2024. Some great performance and graphical options available on PS5 as well.

I went through MEGA MAN 1-9 through the legacy collection over ps4 and while I get why Colin loves MEGA MAN, one of the things which confuses me is… he cant play souls games but he loves mega man?!
I dont know how many times I died in mega man because of "cheap deaths" in the level stages, and trying to learn boss patterns only to be thrown out to restart everything.
But when I did learn the patterns of the levels and bosses, it was a breeze- just like "souls games". Must be his upbringing on 2D over 3D.
Luckily I was in kindergarten when I started gaming with 2D and got a nice jump into 3D gaming as a kid and adapted fast.

For Dustin – Heavensward really is when the game takes a step up in all areas, from the story telling to the voice acting, the dungeons and the zones, it all just improves noticably and then keeps getting better and better. If you plan to give it til the end of HW to decide whether to keep going i'd say include the HW patch quests in that not just the base expansion as there's some really good stuff in there

Square-Enix needs to sort it out. I have never played FF14 online, yet when I try it says my account can't be used for a free trial. So I decide fine, I'll pay for the damn game, and I get an error doing that.
