A cleaner version of the Paradox Transpose Only, 100% Instant Cast Rotation. Optimized for higher potency. This rotation deals consistent damage, but should not be viewed as a replacement for the standard rotation. The standard rotation will still clear content slightly faster on average.

There are a few things to keep in mind when doing this rotation. Whenever Swiftcast is on cooldown, you want to prioritize activating it over Triplecast, as Triplecast will continue charging after the first usage, whereas Swiftcast is a loss and will cause drifting if you continue to sit with it off cooldown. If you see that Swiftcast will be off cooldown in a GCD or two and you have Xenoglossy stacks as fillers, it is recommended to use them to give you access to Swiftcast before resorting to the next Triplecast charge. There are cases where this is not possible, but it is important to do so if you are looking to run this rotation in a Raid or Extreme setting. Otherwise, you will reach a point where your instant cast charges have not returned and you will be forced to hard cast for roughly a single Fire Phase to allow the rotation to realign. This is not as bad as it sounds. I recommend using the standard rotation at the start of an encounter or when movement is not required (some burst windows, etc)— then switch back to Instant Cast rotation when needed. This can help your rotation flow better and be more sustainable over the entire encounter.
Ideally, Swiftcast should be activated a few GCDs before using it whenever possible. However, if you are in your Ice phase and Swiftcast is coming off cooldown, its better to activate it as soon as you can. Since every action is an instant cast, you have 100% freedom for when and what you want to weave things off of. When using Swiftcast a number of GCDs early, I recommend weaving it off of Fire Paradox, as it will give you enough time to go through the fire phase and still have time to hit Blizzard III before Swiftcast drops off.
Early Swiftcast should look like this:
_[…] I.Paradox, Transpose, F.Paradox, Swiftcast, Fire III, Despair, Transpose, Blizzard III […]_
When using Triplecast, however, you will want to weave it just before pressing the first Blizzard III, as Triplecast can be used to cover TWO Blizzard III casts, as well as a filler Blizzard IV. The filler is used to give your cooldowns more time to return. Skipping it can cause the rotation to misalign 4-5 minutes into an encounter. In order to decrease the amount of GCDs pressed during the Triplecast window, you will want to use Ice Paradox at the start of the Ice phase and weave the Triplecast off of it. If you use Ice Paradox once the Triplecast is used, you may not have enough spell speed to get off the final Blizzard IV filler and can cause drifting.
Triplecast uses should look like this:
_[…] Despair, Transpose, I.Paradox, Triplecast, Blizzard III, Transpose, F.Paradox, Fire III, Despair, Transpose, Blizzard III, Blizzard IV, I.Paradox, Transpose, […]_

We're so back
Can you write the skill steps of rotation please? you are so fast, and i love this rotation
How does it compare to traditional rotation
I have been using this in ex3 and it felt great, usually if im in ice and no instant casts I just umbral soul once, a dps hit sure but I'm enjoying not casting anything 😂.
how much dps loss is this compared to normal casting
This needs more traction, it looks quite smooth, though I haven't used the job enough to get this down quickly
Gotta enjoy this while we still can. Watch how SE will kill this by increasing Transpose cd 🙁
If I may, is this a power gain or just ultra mobility for certain fights/mech? Also, can you combine the standar rotation with this ar any given time for just mobility? Should it be the case, can gpu elaborate further on this ? Sorry for the many questions me and like 5 friends of mine who are realatiely new to the BLM and to savage have been seeing this flooding thr webs and wonder
whats your gcd with this build? im high spell speed so i feel like i cant do this until i switch
This is why black mage is so popular. No other job has such a range of different gameplay options.
The devs really dropped the ball this expansion and im getting sick of it.
Hum was this dummy done with BLM BiS?
Imagine if BLM had melee auto-attacks with actual potency… This would be a huge gain since you'd never stop the AA timer to cast something
Transpose is going to be deleted, I hope you know lol. Stuff like this is gonna get Transpose deleted.
could you not add an extra GCD of padding whenever you swiftcast despair by instead swiftcasting a f4 and then letting the 1 stack of astral soul let you instacast despair?
can u make an infographics version of this?
