Stormblood has always been infamous for it’s level curve, but have you ever wondered why? Sure the lack of trusts may be part of it, but the issue runs far deeper. . .

Hi there stranger, welcome to my first video.
Because I know someone will be snooping to find my oldest content a few years from now let's make something clear. I created this channel because I found FFXIV content on YouTube to be extremely lacking in variety, personality, and creativity. Having nothing to watch about the thing I enjoyed was agony, and I can only watch the "1000 hours on free trial video" so many times before my brain starts smoking. That being. . . I decided to appeal to my inner narcissist, become the change I wanted to see in the world by creating content I'd enjoy.
SO! Until I run out of ideas, or grow bored, this channel will be dedicated to making more FFXIV content like this.
You know. the kind you can actually watch. The kind where the white boy behind the microphone actually has "opinions."
Level 1 – 20 is the worst, because you cannot do dungeons for the most part and you use 1-2 buttons. That's why I prioritize leveling alts that start at level 50+ where my rotation is starting to shape up and I can run dungeons.
Sirensong Sea can go delete itself dayo. 💙
We are so back
crazy that youtube recommended me this. I didn't think a brand new channel with 10 subs would be on my home page. Great video btw
Idk if its just me but Ive always felt like leveling up from like 70 – 75 was awful
If I recall correctly, the reason they buffed the endwalker dungeons so much is because it was wildly more efficient to level classes using Bozja zones than it was to actually play the new dungeons. Especially for DPS classes who would need longer queue times to even enter the dungeons in the first place.
YouTube recommended your video to me, and I'm so glad it did. I can't wait to see more
I remember when PoTD and HoH was THE place to level. No 30 minute queues for DDs, 15-20 minute runs with a full group. It was great! It seems that people have forgotten they exist. Or there are a lot less people in the 1-70 range.
Don't know how this found me, glad it did.
wasnt there a big level sink during the time the 80 dungeons came out? which would explain the drastic incline, its % to level base per dungeon, so sure, the numbers may be bigger per dungeon, but so to is the amount of xp required just to level. also gotta factor in dps queue times as a reason people may hate it as waiting for those dungeons to pop takes forever if solo queuing, and last i recall, dailies give a dramatic boost to xp per day, so if someone doesnt want to wait to queue for dungeons, they can go for roulettes like MSQ, MSQ gives half an xp bar at every level once per day, add to that all the other roulettes people can do, an you could likely go from 60-63 or 64 in one day without even playing a 61-70 dungeon
Man, what a great news to receive now that I'm going to start leveling almost all my jobs in Stormblood! I was entertaining myself doing all the sidequests, allied society quests, to not leave any XP behind. But, what else I can do?, running FATE's and waiting for the weird XP boost thing to appear and kill it?
Well, at least I'm psychologically prepared. I'm going to start doing RP to keep my sanity, gifting gift tea and cookies to random people like a grandma Miqo'te.
If you haven't shared your findings with the FFXIV Support Desk yet, I'd recommend doing so! Might take them until the expansion after the next one to fix it, but better they be aware of it sooner rather than later. At least in this case it's just a numbers problem and nothing too hopefully serious.
I don't remember the Stormblood curve a ton, but I leveled all my jobs through during Shadowbringers because of a certain pandemic. More than a few things have changed since then, notably, the stat squish. Probably super hard to find now, but I wonder what the EXP rates looked like before and after the stat squish and the changes to how EXP was granted per dungeon instance.
why do you call The Vault "The Great Vault?"
Ah yes. Stormblood 60-70 was one of the most tedious to grind for my alt jobs, that I actually sat back and spammed Ultima till I hit 80(SUCH DEVASTATION).
