  1. They only mentioned this when speaking to each other and so it wasn't in the slides, but Yoshi-P confirmed that Jeuno will be available as an exploration zone (a la Nier) as well as the combat zone in the raid itself.

  2. I’m so excited. I’ve never been around to witness post expansion update content.l as it is being released. I love FFXI and the music in the trailer was nearly bringing me to tears.

  3. Pretty ironic to have a collab with Schwarzkopf for hair dyes, when the NPCs in Solution Nine have bright neon hair that our characters are unable to dye theirs to. Nice job SE!

  4. Dawntrail keeps on giving and I'm always excited for patch day! Unfortunately as you mentioned in the last video about the content schedule, we still lack that crucial mid-core content that "engaged casuals" can, well, engage in.
Both the Relic grind and Exploration Zone still come way too late in the expansion cycle, I always end up only subbing for a month at a time for the patches and then be on my merry way now that I have pretty much done all the grinds I wanted.

Chaotic Raids seem to have nailed the rewards structure with the appropriate ilvl gear, likely enough cosmetics to keep people trying to clear and hopefully an adequate difficulty too. If they copy that model to Criterion we're eating good, but again it all seems to come way too late… Relic, Exploration Zone, Deep Dungeon and Limited Jobs are pretty good midcore content to keep people subbed, but they're nowhere to be seen for like a year after the expansion, which is definitely an issue.
While the game might still survive thanks to the plenty of casuals that will stay subbed for RP, glam chasing and whatnot + the raiders that are eating very good every patch it seems, they really need to rearrange some of the content schedule to come out earlier in the expansion cycle to generate hype and definitely keeping more players subbed.

  5. From a mid-core non-ultimate savage raider, I'm happy Ultimates are at the start of the patch, I want my teammates doing ultimate to get done before the next tier comes out (this did not happen in EW and made progging savage a lot harder)

  6. if you asked me to come up with an idea for the 7.1 MSQ that I would be least interested in playing, it would absolutely be 'going to a funeral for Sphene with Wuk Lamat.' I'm honestly a bit impressed.
