  2. It gets pretty heavy into Disney territory. When Smile first played I immediately thought of the scene in The Lion King when Rafiki holds up baby Simba. If FFXIV is gonna have a Kingdom Hearts crossover, this would be the expansion to do it lol. There was SO much Disney influence in this expansion and I think that understandably put a lot of people off.

  3. If you don't like X or Y you're definitely racist or sexist or homophobic.
I don't care for Sena's work, but her constant complaining and crying on twt are irritating af

  4. So I never really thought about this before this tweet.
But exactly WHY do we have African-American Gospel in an expansion which is supposed to be based upon the different cultures of South America?

Between all of the different countries and their long cultural history they had no music of their own that could fit the "smile" scenes?

  5. Spent most of my childhood in Black Churches and listening to Gospel CDs around the house, and yeah I don't think people are off base equating Smile more to Disney showtunes than to Black Gospel. It may have been XIV's intention, but I'm not hearing it in execution.

I get that Sena's faced a pretty large amount of hate over her performance in DT and maybe she wants to vent some of that frustration and clap back at what she feels like is the bigoted portion of playerbase that maligns her, but she's not doing herself any favors trying to stir things up via a subject matter she doesn't seem to have great knowledge of. Hoping she's able to just disconnect a bit, because it doesn't seem like social media's doing her mental health any favors.

  6. I think she needs to stop trying to stir the pot and act like a professional. I rarely get on twitter, but from what I've seen through friends sharing info to me…..They're extremely lucky more people haven't clapped back at them outside of just their performance of Wuk and this tweet. They need to learn when to step away from social media to clear their head. Funny meme video tho
